Men finish season, Ferreira wins tournament

The TC Men's golf team completed their fall season at the Tyler Junior College Fall Intercollegiate at Oakhurst Golf Course Oct. 25-26. The men shot a total of 589 strokes to finish in 2nd place, eight strokes behind Tyler Junior College.  The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Wehmeyer Ferreira who won the tournament shooting a season best 69 on the last 18 holes to finish 4-under-par with a total of 140 strokes.

Striking out cancer, one pitch at a time

There was more than one winner at Saturday's, 3rd annual Strike Out Cancer game versus Trinity Valley Community College. Each team decked from head to toe in pink, played for a cure.
 

The Texarkana College Bulldogs alone raised $1,656. Surpassing the teams first year by $550, and the second by $800, the team will present the check to the American Cancer Society 12:30 pm Friday.

Rough weather leads to rough start golfers

Texarkana College's golf teams finished third overall in the Tyler Junior College Spring Invitational on March 1-2, and the women finished 12th out of 16 at the Lion Invitational on March 14-16. Out of the 16 teams in the tournament, only two (TC and Tyler Junior College) were junior colleges.
