Bittersweet ending

Sophomore members of the softball team pose with the coaching staff as they laugh about the times they’ve shared this season.

As the Lady Bulldogs' season finished, it left the question: what's next?

Sophomores Kayleigh Cody, Taylor Hodge, Katie Hulan, Ashlee Johnson and Renee Martin have it answered.

They will be continuing their careers at the next level of play and signed with their colleges April 29.

Pitcher Kayleigh Cody and catcher Katie Hulan will continue their duo at Central Baptist College and return to their home state of Arkansas.

Taylor Hodge will continue to Wesleyan College where her time will be spent in the infield, as well as in the circle.

Ashlee Johnson's career as a shortstop will follow her to the University of Texas at Tyler, where she will continue to pursue her degree in the nursing field.

Angelo State will take Renee Martin to continue her career as an outfielder and possibly time at second base.

As for the other five sophomores, Brittany Johnson, Megan Yanda, Emily Livingston, Lauren Partiesus, Hannah Spiva and Amanda Berry, their careers are still on hold as they try and make commitments with other four-year universities.
